Linux Mint is great right up until it isn't

Linux Mint is the distro I recommend to everyone. Easy install, sensible defaults, doesn't break every update. For 90% of use cases it just works.

Then you hit the 10%. A weird NVMe issue. An I/O error mid-install on hardware that checks out fine. Suddenly you are in forums at midnight reading threads from 2019.

Mint minimizes the madness better than almost anything else. I will keep recommending it.
